#Ups logger photo Bluetooth
Recently, however I discovered the Bad Elf GPS-2200 which can operate as a logger and download those logs to an iOS device via Bluetooth (using the Bad Elf app). I can backup the photos using the Apple SD card attachement, but haven't found a way to get my logs onto my iPad. I'm going on a trip to Africa next July and I'd really love to just take my iPad Air along to backup my photos and my GPS logs.

That means that any trip lasting more than about two days (as the logger memory reaches its capacity) requires me to lug my laptop along so that I can download the log and erase it from the device to make room for a new log. The only drawback is that the only way to download the log is to hook it up to my computer. I love the device, mainly because it lasts most of the day and it's very light and small. I record my path and then use Geohoudah to sync the log with my photos and embed the GPS data into the photos. I geotag my photos using the Qstarz BT-1300S GPS logger.
